Everton and Newcastle United are two clubs interested in signing Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, but the Scottish outfit may try convince him to stay at Parkhead by offering him a new deal.
According to the Daily Record, Everton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are some of the teams in England that are eyeing the 22-year-old.
The report explains that Celtic are scheduled to have talks with the striker’s representatives over his future, but Bhoys manager Neil Lennon wants to intervene by offering him a new contract to rule out any possible exit this summer.
It is understood that the Scottish champions aren’t under any financial pressure to sell their star players despite being eliminated from the Champions League knockout rounds.
Edouard joined Celtic for £9million (Sky Sports) back in 2018 after impress the previous year during a loan spell and he’s been a real talisman for the team since he signed.
The French centre-forward has 64 goals in 130 appearances for them across all competitions and is such a composed finisher around the box.

TBR’s View:
Edouard is a star in the making that certainly seems destined to leave Scotland in the near future, but understandably Celtic are desperate to keep him around for at least one more year as they go in search of a 10th consecutive league title.
The young target man appears to have the movement, composure and ability to be a success at a Premier League club, with both Everton and Newcastle exciting options if he does search for the Celtic exit doors.
Newcastle are crying out for a prolific goalscorer at St James’ Park and have needed one for so long, while Everton have big expectations going into next year with Carlo Ancelotti as manager.
