Report: Everton and Fulham scouting Stuttgart sensation Silas Wamangituka

Eurosport have claimed that both Everton and Fulham are scouting Silas Wamangituka, as the speed machine continues to shine for German Bundesliga side Stuttgart – netting 11 goals in 22 top-flight matches for the newly-promoted side.

Stuttgart only gained promotion back to the Bundesliga last summer, and were expected to be in a relegation dog fight come the end of the 2020-21 campaign. However, with 11 games to play, Stuttgart sit in 10th place – 14 points above the drop zone.

That is largely thanks to the incredible form of wide man Wamangituka. The DR Congo ace had a hand in 16 goals during 31 games last season – and despite promotion, he has continued that form. This time around, he has 13 goals in 24 games.

His stunning form is attracting suitors. To score that amount of goals as a striker is excellent, but from out wide is sensational – and Everton and Fulham have both sent scouts to watch the African ace. The report compares him to Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe.

TBR’s view – Wamangituka has the world at his feet

His stats are incredible and to be producing such form at the age of 21, he will be being watched by more clubs than just Everton and Fulham. Indeed, many European sides are likely to be after him come the summer.

That is why Everton and Fulham have got to move quickly. While Fulham are in danger of relegation, Wamangituka is hardly going to entertain a move to Scott Parker’s side – but the chance to play for Everton will prove tempting.

A move may hinge on his asking price, with Stuttgart seemingly able to charge premium prices – given his contract ends in 2024.
