Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is set to be at the centre of a transfer tussle between two clubs this summer, according to reports.

As per The Mirror’s Live Transfer Blog [Thursday 25th April, 01:24], Everton are weighing up a move for Abraham in the summer.

But the Toffees face a battle with Aston Villa, who are desperate to keep their loan star if they win promotion.

Abraham has led the line for Aston Villa this season after joining on loan from Aston Villa last summer.

With 25 league goals, the twice-capped England striker is the second top scorer in the Championship.

He has fired the Villans into promotion contention. Aston Villa are now set for the play-offs following a stunning run of 10 consecutive victories.

If Dean Smith’s men win promotion, signing Abraham on a permanent deal will be high on their wishlist. But Everton could provide competition.

Marco Silva wants a new centre-forward to compete with Dominic Calvert-Lewin after a poor season from Cenk Tosun.

Abraham has proven his ability in the Championship, having previously scored 26 times at Bristol City in 2016/17.

But after managing just eight goals for Swansea City last term, it is time for him to step up to top-flight football.

First-team opportunities might be limited at Chelsea despite his goalscoring record this season, although their transfer ban could change things.

But the 21-year-old could compete with England U21 team-mate Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park next season.
