Everton are reportedly in the hunt for Brazilian star Gustavo Assuncao.
AS have claimed the Toffees are in the mix for the Famalicao defensive midfielder, who is also being eyed by Manchester United and Wolves.

There is also supposedly some interest from Europe, with Nice and Sevilla said to be running the rule over the South American.
Assuncao apparently has had a €25million (£22.5 million) price tag slapped on him by his club, suggesting Farmalicao rate the 20-year-old very highly.
So far in his fledgling career, the former Atletico Madrid youth player has clocked up 46 appearances for the Portuguese outfit.
AS say that Assuncao’s form has been so good that he is already considered one of the best players in Liga NOS.
TBR’s View – Ominous for Davies and Gbamin
Everton did sign Allan in the summer, but perhaps Carlo Ancelotti is considering shaking things up.

Everton’s reported interest in Assuncao may mean that the manager is thinking of moving Tom Davies on, or sending Jean-Philippe Gbamin out on loan somewhere having been out injured pretty much since joining the club.
Fabian Delph’s injury record also isn’t great, so an Everton approach for Assuncao may not be out of the question – whether they’ll fork out £22.5 million though remains to be seen.
Should Everton sign Assuncao, it could be that Allan becomes the youngster’s mentor given he is also from Brazil and plays a similar role.
