Report: Juventus interested in Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka; £43m valuation mentioned

Reports emerging from Italy today suggest that Juventus are keen on signing Arsenal superstar, Bukayo Saka, with Atletico Madrid also said to be keen.

Calciomercato claim that Juve are interested in Saka. The report states that Arsenal are said to value their young winger at around the 50m Euro mark (£43m), although that fee is open to debate.

Saka has emerged as a key player for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. Now a regular in the starting XI, Saka is widely considered one of the first names on the team-sheet for the Gunners.

His manager, Mikel Arteta, has previously spoken about Saka and branded him a ‘unique’ talent. Certainly, his performances for both Arsenal and then England in the summer, back that stance up.

News of Juventus’ interest shouldn’t particularly bother the Gunners, for now at least. The mention of the £43m fee is almost laughable. Saka, for all his talent, is likely to be worth double – if not more – than that.

TBR’s View: Arsenal would only sell Saka for a huge amount

And by huge amount, you’re talking around the figure Jack Grealish went to Manchester City for. It makes zero sense for the Gunners to sell. And even at a £100m+, Gunners fans would likely be upset.

Juventus like to register their interest in a host of players. But with Saka, you’d have to say the chances of them getting him are slim.

Of course, you never know in football. Aaron Ramsey made the move to Turin and with Arsenal not in Europe, Saka might fancy a switch eventually.

But for now, this seems seriously unlikely.
