Enzo Robise looks to be on his way out of Southampton imminently, with French outlet Foot Mercato reporting that his contract is set to be terminated in the coming days.
The 19-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for the Saints. And he has struggled for minutes in Premier League 2 this term.
It now appears that he could be leaving in the very near future. Foot Mercato reports that his contract is set to be terminated in the next few hours.
Interestingly, it is claimed that the teenager has already been in contact with Burnley, Bournemouth and Nice.
So perhaps it should not be a huge surprise if an announcement concerning his exit is swiftly followed by another regarding his next move.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has opened the door for some of the club’s brighter youngsters to feature in the first-team during his time at St Mary’s.
So it is perhaps best for all parties that Robise looks elsewhere. However, the interest in the Frenchman hints that he may also be one to keep an eye on in the future.
Burnley have scooped up some incredibly talented youngsters from Premier League rivals in recent years.
They signed Ismaila Diallo from Arsenal in September. Meanwhile, Josh Benson arrived in 2018 after a decade at the same club. And of course, Dwight McNeil was on Manchester United’s books before joining the Clarets in 2014.
So it will be interesting to see if Burnley have similar hopes for Robise with his Southampton exit reportedly imminent.
