It appears that Leeds United may soon be able to announce a new contract for one of their under-23 prospects with Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb reporting that Elia Caprile has extended his deal.
Caprile is yet to make his first-team debut at Elland Road. However, he is a regular fixture in the under-23 side that has enjoyed so much success under Mark Jackson.

He has also been on the bench for Marcelo Bielsa’s side on numerous occasions following his arrival in January 2020.
As shown by Transfermarkt, his current deal expires in 2023. But with his terms now into its final two years, it appears that Leeds have taken action.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Caprile has reached an agreement to extend his deal by a year.
Leeds making important statement by handing Caprile new contract
Caprile looks to be in an interesting position right now. The 19-year-old has been around the first-team for some time.
However, the arrival of Kristoffer Klaesson must have left him wondering what his future would hold.
So Leeds have arguably made an important statement about his potential by extending his deal.
They were arguably little pressure to do so. Two years can be an extremely long time for a young player as they develop and make the jump up to senior football.
So they obviously feel that Caprile still has the potential to develop into a key player for the Whites.
Given the quality shown by Illan Meslier, and the talent Klaesson looks to possess, that is saying a lot.
