Edu is now working ‘behind the scenes’ to get rid of Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang this summer, according to 90 Mins.
On the way out?
Aubameyang was absent from Arsenal’s clash with Brentford on opening day, which has sparked doubts about his future.
While Arsenal’s official line is that the striker is ill, 90 Mins says that all is not well at the Emirates Stadium for their main goalscorer.
Aubameyang and Mikel Arteta have apparently had disagreements over the summer.
And Arteta is now said to be open to selling Aubameyang, as Arsenal look to raise funds.
It is quite the turnaround, as the experienced striker has previously spoken very highly of Arteta, and cited the Spaniard as a major reason why he did opt to pen a new contract at Arsenal just last year.
At that time Arteta also called Aubameyang a ‘superb player’ and praised his mentality (Sky).
Edu working
Edu now is apparently working on a way to get Aubameyang out, but doing so could be easier said than done.
The problem for Arsenal is that the rapid forward is on £350,000-a-week, which means that very few clubs can afford to take him.

If Aubameyang did leave Arsenal may well have more room to bring in new players, as their wage bill would drop significantly.
But he could also be a hard man to replace, despite his dip in form over the past year.
Aubameyang is Arsenal’s most proven goalscorer, and his departure would surely leave question marks over the club’s ambition for the upcoming campaign.
