Eddie Howe has identified Steve Cook as one of his key targets should he be announced as Celtic’s next boss, according to a report from The Sun.
The report claims that Howe could be unveiled at Parkhead in the coming week. It is arguably a huge coup for the Bhoys as they look to bounce back from their disappointing season.

And should he arrive, it appears that he will turn to a familiar face as he looks to change his squad.
According to The Sun, Howe wants to be reunited with Bournemouth skipper Cook, who is out of contract with the Cherries at the end of the campaign.

It is noted that it is felt that Cook is likely to leave the Vitality Stadium should they fail to secure promotion. They are currently seventh in the table and 16 points off the top two.
No outfield player has made more league starts for Bournemouth this season than Cook. And he has been a stalwart for a decade, making 374 appearances for the club in total.
After the signing of Shane Duffy, some Celtic fans may have their concerns. The loan deal for Duffy looked to have the potential to be a masterstroke.
Unfortunately, the move has not worked out for anyone. So signing another defender on the wrong side of his peak may worry some.
However, he is obviously a player Howe knows incredibly well. He is also a real leader. So perhaps, a move for Cook could be the deal Celtic fans hoped the Duffy loan would be this year.
