Dwight Gayle has made a decision on his future as he heads into the final year of his Newcastle United contract, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Gayle boasted a respectable record for the Magpies last season. He only started 10 times despite appearing in 20 games in the Premier League, and scored four goals.

The Telegraph reports that Bournemouth had considered a move for the 30-year-old. Of course, his record in the Championship is outstanding, with 47 goals across his previous two campaigns in the second tier.
However, The Telegraph claims that Gayle is not interested in leaving and wants to stay for the final year of his contract.

The Telegraph adds that there may be scope for the £10 million striker to earn a contract extension further down the line.
TBR View: Newcastle should hold onto Gayle as backup
Of course, Newcastle may have different plans for Gayle. If Steve Bruce is working with a modest budget this summer, he may be open to considering any offers that come in for his players.
But the Magpies should be open to letting Gayle stay. They certainly appear to need a better first-choice goalscorer. But, as a backup, the former Crystal Palace man definitely has a role to play.
