Manchester United outcast, Donny van de Beek, is pushing for a January exit and it could put Everton on red-alert in the winter window.

The Toffees have been linked with a move for the Dutchman. The Daily Mail has claimed just this week that talks had been held with Everton before Van de Beek changed his agent.

And now The Mirror has followed up on that report by saying that Van de Beek has specifically instructed his new agent to force a move away from Old Trafford in January. It is claimed the £35m signing could even be happy with a loan move, as long as he is getting some football.

Van de Beek has seen his time at United become a nightmare. He’s played just four times from the start in the Premier League, with just 20 appearances overall. This, despite signing a long-term contract on around £120k-a-week at United.

Everton manager Rafa Benitez didn’t make any big signings in the summer and could see Van de Beek as a good loan option. The likes of Wolves and Newcastle have also been mentioned as potential destinations.

TBR’s View: Van de Beek needs out of United and Everton might work

A lot here will depend on if the Dutchman fancies cracking England, and if United are prepared to let him go to another Premier League club.

Everton would be a smart club to go to. They’re a big club, for starters, and have a good manager, with some good players in the squad. On their day, the Toffees can match most sides in the league.

Van de Beek would fit in nicely as well. The likes of Gomes and Davies can often flatter to deceive alongside the impressive Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Essentially, if Everton do fancy him, then there is a great chance to land a good player here.
