German newspaper Bild have claimed that Jonjoe Kenny is desperate to remain at Schalke beyond the summer after an impressive loan from Everton – despite reported interest from both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Kenny, 23, has clocked up 26 appearances in all competitions for Schalke – and has even had a hand in four goals, scoring once and creating three. The England Under-21 defender wants to remain with the Bundesliga club.
The report also claims that Schalke want to keep Kenny, but are unable to afford a permanent deal for the £15,000-a-week star (Spotrac). According to a report from the Daily Mail, Tottenham and Arsenal are keen on£ Kenny.
Given that Schalke are unable to land Kenny on a permanent basis, especially with the current outbreak of Covid-19, surely that is a boost for Tottenham and Arsenal in their pursuit of the impressive right-back.

TBR’s view – Kenny is another example of England’s top right-backs
Undoubtedly, Trent Alexander-Arnold is England’s best right-back. But Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Reece James have all been linked with being called up by Gareth Southgate.
But Kenny is certainly showing plenty of quality, enough to be in with a shout and named alongside the aforementioned quintet. Just because he is in the Bundesliga should not mean he is overlooked – Jadon Sancho, for example.
Though he has enormous competition, Kenny needs to be on Southgate’s radar.
