French outlet Le10Sport have claimed that Newcastle United have tabled an enormous deal to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer – with the latest report claiming that the offer is worth a whopping £200,000 a week.
Koulibaly, 28, is just one of a number of numerous players being linked with the Tyneside club of late – as their reported takeover seemingly edges closer after Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners paid a £17million deposit fee.
The initial report stated that Newcastle want to sign Senegal international Koulibaly, who joined the club from Belgian side Genk. It is believed that The Toon will have to splash a whopping £70million fee to get their man.
However, the newest report reckons Newcastle are willing to pay Koulibaly an enormous £200,000 a week – a lot more than highest earners Joelinton and Jonjo Shelvey. It remains to be seen if Koulibaly will be tempted.

TBR’s view – Could Koulibaly really be tempted by Newcastle?
No European football and a major step down from the lure of Napoli, could Koulibaly really be tempted with a move to Newcastle? The only hope of landing the colossal defender would be by offering a huge financial incentive.
But if a club such as Chelsea or another interested party offer a slightly less financial offer for the African giant, then surely the Napoli defender will look to remain in European competition.
