Transfer expert David Ornstein has been quoted by BBC Sport’s live transfer blog (Thursday, 15:38) as giving details over Ryan Sessegnon’s reported move from Fulham to Tottenham Hotspur.
Though nothing has been confirmed by either London side as of yet, multiple outlets have confirmed that the England Under-21 international has agreed a five-year deal at Spurs – with the option for more.
Sessegnon has long been linked with a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side, dating back to when the 19-year-old broke into Fulham’s senior side and starred in the Cottagers’ promotion to the Premier League in 2017-18.
Despite a more difficult campaign last season as Fulham suffered relegation, Tottenham remained interested. Now, Ornstein has highlighted some details about the deal which is expected to be announced soon.
Indeed, Tottenham are believed to have splashed out £25million up front to sign Sessegnon. Spurs have also agreed to pay £5million in instalments, though it is unclear what these additional payments will involve.
More importantly, playmaker Josh Onomah is to move in the opposite direction to west London. It is also unclear if Onomah will join Fulham on loan, or as part of a permanent deal.
