Report details Harry Kane’s contract demands, as England skipper could now sign new Tottenham deal

Harry Kane has confirmed he will stay at Tottenham and now The Times claim he could sign a new deal. It includes a £100,000-a-week pay rise.

Kane, 28, ended speculation surrounding his future by taking to Twitter to confirm he will stay at Spurs. Manchester City failed to meet his price tag.

The striker has been linked with Manchester City throughout the summer and reports state that he wanted to join. Daniel Levy remained stubborn.

Now, his focus will be on preparing to feature for Tottenham on Thursday night. Spurs take on Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League.

Following his statement, Kane could now sign a new deal at Tottenham. He could get another pay rise with his boyhood club – to £400,000 a week.

A report from The Times claims that Kane is currently earning a contract of £300,000 a week, which includes bonuses taking it up to £300,000.

Now, the England skipper is looking for a deal that could go as high as £400,000 a week – in line with Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

It might not come as a surprise that Kane could look to include a release clause in his contract – in order to allow a transfer in future windows.

But to the delight of Tottenham fans, Kane will be staying put this summer and at least until the summer of 2022. It is brilliant news for Spurs.
