Report details Harry Kane and Daniel Levy’s £200m Tottenham transfer agreement

A report from Bleacher Report has shed further light on Harry Kane’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur.

The England captain has been linked with a move away from Spurs in the next transfer window as he aims to win silverware elsewhere. It has seen the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus all being linked with a move for the 26-year-old.

According to Bleacher Report, Kane will not be going anywhere this summer. However, the report claims that the frontman has given Tottenham a ‘one-year notice agreement’ with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

It means that the striker will be allowed to leave in a year’s time should Tottenham not improve massively on their 2019-20 showing. Spurs would allow him to leave in the summer should a team from abroad make a move but the report adds nobody will be able to afford his £200 million asking price this summer and Kane will, therefore, be at Spurs next season.

Tottenham fans will no doubt be disappointed to hear just how likely it is that Kane is starting to push for an exit.

It is seemingly a comparable scenario to the one which saw Cristiano Ronaldo stick around at Manchester United for the 2008-09 campaign before his dream move to Real Madrid.

Tottenham will undoubtedly be hoping that Kane can help fire Jose Mourinho’s side back into title contention next season and have second thoughts over a career move. However, whilst it seems Kane will definitely stick around for one more season, his long-term future looks increasingly likely to be away from Spurs.
