Sky Sports have claimed on their Transfer Centre (Friday, 15.17pm) that West Ham United are now trying to secure a loan deal for Brentford’s Said Benrahma, which will include an obligation to buy the Algerian playmaker.
Benrahma, 25, has sprung onto the radar of many Premier League clubs this season after shining for Brentford during 2019-20. Scoring 17 goals and creating 10 more, the Algeria international pushed Brentford into the play-off final.
But defeat to Fulham has seen Brentford forced to cash in on striker Ollie Watkins, and potentially Benrahma. It has been widely reported that West Ham have had a £25million plus £5million in add-ons bid accepted for the star.

However, a move has plunged into doubt with complications arising over his medical. David Moyes has since claimed that the medical was not failed and that a part of the medical is still ongoing. Personal terms have been agreed.
Now, it appears that Benrahma could join the club on loan initially – before an obligatory move will take place at a later date. The report also states that all parties involved in the deal for Benrahma are confident it will go through before 5pm.
West Ham fans are becoming increasingly worried on social media, though, after a difficult window in which the club have managed just three signings – including the permanent deal for Tomas Soucek.
