According to a report by The Yorkshire Evening Post, Deportivo Alaves have entered the race for Leeds United midfielder Samu Saiz.
Alaves have joined Valencia in pursuit of Saiz. The attacking midfielder spent the latter part of last season on loan with La Liga side Getafe.
And he wants to leave Leeds to make a permanent move back to Spain. Saiz could get his wish as two Spanish top-flight clubs go head to head for his services.
Alaves finished in midtable (11th) but Valencia could offer him Champions League football after a fourth-place finish. Getafe, who finished fifth, do not seem to want Saiz back.

The Spaniard struggled during his half-season loan spell. The creative midfield playmaker played 12 games and scored once but found himself on the bench more often than not.
But despite his struggles, he still wants to seal his return to Spain. The 28-year-old’s Leeds career is considered all but over despite having two years left on his deal.
While Saiz was in Spain, Leeds struggled to keep up their early season form. The Whites missed out on automatic promotion and then lost in the play-off semi-final.
Saiz is expected to be one of many players leaving Leeds this summer. Caleb Ekuban, Laurens de Bock and Yosuke Ideguchi are the three other names mentioned in this report.
