Dele Alli has spoken to Tottenham Hotspur teammate Serge Aurier about his experiences at Paris Saint-Germain, according to Foot Mercato, with his Spurs future once again in doubt.
The Telegraph reports that Dele could be on the move before the transfer window closes. He has already been left out of Jose Mourinho’s squad on a few occasions this season.
And The Telegraph notes that he will not be involved in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie with Chelsea.
According to that report, PSG had shown interest in signing Dele. However, the Ligue 1 champions were reportedly preparing to look elsewhere with a deal proving difficult to agree.
But it now appears that a move to Parc des Princes could now be back on the cards.
According to Foot Mercato, the two clubs are back in discussions. And interestingly, Dele has reportedly spoken with Aurier about the right-back’s former side.
The Ivory Coast international spent three years in the French capital, making more than 80 appearances in all competitions.
Foot Mercato notes that Dele is open to heading to PSG. So the onus will now seemingly be on the two clubs to reach an agreement.
It seems to make sense for Tottenham to offload Dele if he is not going to play a key role. And unfortunately for the Englishman, it does not appear that Mourinho is going to provide him with that important role as things stand.
