Danny Rose is set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur despite having missed part of the club’s pre-season to find a new club.
The Sun are reporting that the England international will not be leaving this before Thursday’s deadline, and will once again battle it out with Ben Davies for a regular place in the starting XI.
Rose has been linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, but nothing has materialised.
Sky Sports recently reported that the club were looking for around £20 million for the former Leeds United youngster.
The Sun now say that, barring any unlikely eleventh-hour swoops out of the blue, the 29-year-old will remain a Spurs player for the 2019/20 season.
Rose staying at the club is sure to satisfy a large percentage of Tottenham fans.
Many were disappointed when the full-back was given permission to miss the pre-season tour of the Far East.
Rose is no longer the same player as a few seasons ago, but last term he did show sign of getting back to somewhere near his best.
With Ryan Sessegnon supposedly imminent anything could still happen, but at the moment it’s looking good for those who really want Rose to stay.
