Crystal Palace have contacted Cardiff City to receive a reference on Victor Camarasa, as reported by Wales Online. The Spanish midfielder spent last season on loan with the Bluebirds in the Premier League. Former Crystal Palace manager, and current Cardiff boss, Neil Warnock, has confirmed that the Eagles have asked for his thoughts on the 25-year-old.
This situation suggests that Crystal Palace hold some interest in pursuing a move for Camarasa this summer. Warnock claims to have given him a glowing review. Warnock even stated that he is “one of the best midfield players I’ve had”.

The Cardiff manager also confirmed that Burnley have been in touch with him regarding Camarasa too. The Eagles must therefore act fast to bring Camarasa to Selhurst Park, as they may soon face competition for his signature from the Clarets.
Camarasa is currently back in Spain, with his parent club Real Betis. However, his future may well involve a swift return to English football. He would be an ideal fit in Roy Hodgson’s side, bringing some flair and creativity to the middle of the park.
Camarasa proved last season that he can shine in the Premier League, as he racked up five goals and four assists for the Welsh outfit. He would be expected to build on that experience and improve further with the south London club.
