Crystal Palace have reportedly agreed a deal to sign free agent goalkeeper Remi Matthews.
According to the South London Press, the Eagles are close to adding the former Sunderland shot-stopper to their ranks this summer.
The 27-year-old was released by the Black Cats at the end of last season. Matthews only played ten games for the northeast side during the 2020/21 campaign.

The former Norwich City keeper has bounced around both England and Scotland during his professional career. Matthews has played for the likes of Burton Albion, Hamilton Academical and Plymouth Argyle.
Matthews will in as Palace’s third-choice keeper behind Jack Butland and Eagles number one Vicente Guaita.
As per the report, Palace previously mulled over signing Matthews in 2019 before opting to sign Stephen Henderson.

Matthews is set to become Palace’s second signing of the summer transfer window under new manager Patrick Vieira.
The French coach has already signed Reading and Championship star Michael Olise this summer. And you would expect more players will arrive at Selhurst Park in the coming weeks.
Reports indicate that Palace are looking for a new striker as well as centre-backs as Vieira aims to lower the age of the squad ahead of the new Premier League season next month.
