Crystal Palace have seen a bid of £16 million accepted for flying Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen, the Daily Mail is reporting.

The Eagles are yet to add any permanent senior players to their ranks yet during the January window.

Roy Hodgson will naturally welcome any new additions through the door.

His team are currently 11th and with backing in the transfer window, there is no reason why they can’t kick on even further.

Bowen would represent a decent signing. He has netted 17 goals and six assists in all competitions this season

The report claims that Hull had offered Bowen a new deal with improved terms on the table.

It is now thought, however, that they would prefer it if the player moved on either now or at the end of the season.

Hull aren’t under pressure to sell. Although Bowen is out of contract at the KCOM Stadium in the summer, they would still receive compensation as he is under 24.

Signing a talented youngster like Bowen will surely delight the club’s supporters.

His 17 goals this season had Hull dreaming of the play-offs for a while and he has scored goals from all over the park.

The 23-year-old is strong on the ball and has excited the fans at Hull for the last few seasons.

It will be interesting to see if he does walk straight into the first-team at a Premier League club and Hodgson will need a plan for him.

Given his age there is plenty of scope for improvement and he could prove a sound investment in the future.
