According to a report from The Sun, Crystal Palace are planning to make a move for Scott Banks, with the youngster not signing a new contract at Dundee United.
Banks went into this season still awaiting the chance to make his debut for the Scottish Championship side. However, it already appears that he may not play for the club again.

The Sun reports that the 18-year-old’s deal expires at the end of the season. And he has not been picked since early August as he is not planning to sign fresh terms with Robbie Neilson’s side.
The report suggests that Palace want to try and bring Banks to Selhurst Park in January, and are hoping to agree a fee with the Terrors.

It should not be a surprise to see a deal go through in January. It looks to be best for all parties for a figure to be agreed when the winter window opens.
Palace will land one of their reported targets ahead of any other admirers. Dundee United get to set a fee for a player who is looking set to walk away in the summer. And Banks can start the next chapter of his career earlier, with his absence from Neilson’s squad probably doing him no favours.
