Crystal Palace are planning to make a £30 million bid for Ismaila Sarr before the window shuts, according to a report from The Sun.
The 22-year-old is still available heading into Friday’s deadline. In truth, it is arguably a surprise that Watford have seemingly not faced a tougher task trying to keep the youngster.

He was outstanding during his first campaign in the Premier League. Sarr scored five goals and contributed four assists following his switch to Vicarage Road.
And Palace are reportedly hoping that they may yet be able to secure his signature during the coming days.

The Sun reports that the Eagles want to offer £30 million for Sarr. Should a deal go through, it would be a club record for an up front fee.
However, it would appear that it may be a slightly ambitious offer. The Sun also notes that Watford set a £40 million asking price this summer. So Roy Hodgson will be hoping for a compromise to be reached.
TBR View: Signing Sarr would leave Palace with devastating forward line
Palace have arguably done some incredibly smart business this summer. And adding Sarr to their options would leave Hodgson with a brilliant group of attacking players.
Eberechi Eze and Michy Batshuayi also moved to Selhurst Park in this window. Meanwhile, they have managed to keep Wilfried Zaha.
It would be a stunning way to round off the window if they could go on and bring Sarr into the mix.
