Crystal Palace look to be on the verge of winning the race to sign Eberechi Eze, with The Telegraph reporting that the Eagles have had a £19.5 million bid accepted for the Queens Park Rangers talisman.

Eze always looked destined to end the transfer window as a Premier League player. The Telegraph reports that Roy Hodgson’s men were joined by the likes of West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham in the race.

However, The Telegraph has suggested that Palace’s offer of £15 million plus add-ons has been accepted.

And the report adds that they hope to finalise a move for the 22-year-old in the next 48 hours.

TBR View: Big statement from Palace

It would be no surprise if most Palace fans were delighted by the reports stating that Eze is on his way to Selhurst Park.

He confirmed himself as one of the most exciting talents outside the Premier League last term. He scored 14 goals and provided eight assists for QPR.

His record is all the more remarkable when you consider that opposition sides would have been well aware who the club’s talisman was.

And with a number of Premier League rivals also keen, it looks to be a real coup for Palace to now reach an agreement.
