Crystal Palace are interested in signing Reiss Nelson, with Football London reporting that Arsenal and his representatives are looking to find a suitable loan move for the youngster.
The 20-year-old has made a couple of appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side in the early stages of the campaign. He was brought on during the latter minutes of the Community Shield.
And he also produced an incredibly impressive performance in the Carabao Cup against Leicester City this month. However, he is yet to feature in the Premier League this term.
And it appears that he could be on the move before the transfer window shuts.
According to Football London, the Gunners are working to source a loan move for Nelson. And it is claimed that the Eagles want the winger, who is now open to leaving temporarily.
TBR View: Palace loan makes a lot of sense for Nelson
If Nelson – who earns £15,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is not going to play regularly this season, a loan exit makes sense. And joining another Premier League rival for the campaign could work out perfectly for the youngster.
Palace have a number of exciting attacking players. And thus, they could provide a good platform for Nelson to develop his game further.
It remains to be seen if Palace can win the race for the Arsenal youngster. But it should be no surprise if heading to Selhurst Park appeals to Nelson.
