Report: Crystal Palace, Everton and David Moyes make contact to sign Eden Hazard 2.0
According to Foot Mercato, Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham have all recently made contact with Sassuolo in regards to Jeremie Boga.
What’s the story?
Well, the Premier League trio seem to be making a late move for the 24-year-old.
It is said that Patrick Vieira, David Moyes and Rafa Benitez’s respective sides may take more action before Tuesday’s deadline, following their enquiries.
Foot Mercato add that the next few days promise to be hectic as Boga’s future remains extremely uncertain.
If Sassuolo do not sell the tricky winger now, then clubs can agree a pre-contract deal with him in January due to his contract situation.
What would Crystal Palace, Everton or West Ham get in Jeremie Boga?
If there’s one thing Boga excels at, it’s dribbling.
As WhoScored shows, the ex-Chelsea forward has registered an average of over three dribbles per game across the last four league campaigns.
It’s no wonder Smarter Scout likened him to Eden Hazard.
The statistics-based page compared Boga and Hazard’s tendency to play ‘aggressive’ passes but also resist taking lots of shots.
Smarter Scout also make the point that both players don’t offer much defensively.
Overall, the Toffees and the two London-based clubs would be getting a very exciting forward in Boga, one who absolutely excels at dribbling.
In Crystal Palace and West Ham’s case, pairing Boga with either Wilfried Zaha or Said Benrahma has the potential to cause havoc.
We mustn’t forget Everton – Dominic Calvert-Lewin would surely love having a rapid winger who can get to the byline and whip crosses in.
Keep an eye on this saga, with just days before Tuesday’s deadline.
