Well, how things change quickly in football eh? Tottenham are now set to appoint Antonio Conte as manager after they parted company with Nuno Espirito Santo this morning.
Conte is said to be in London today to sign a deal with Tottenham. And on the back of him agreeing to become Spurs boss, it could spark a big January of spending for the club.
And according to SportMediaSet, Tottenham will look to bring in Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina as they look to secure signings which will allow Conte to take the club to the next level.

Vlahovic has been on Spurs’ radar for some time now. Indeed, reports in the summer claimed that Fiorentina were looking for a fee of around £77m for the impressive Serbian. That asking-price is now said to be smaller, with Vlahovic keen to move on from the Serie A side.
SportMediaSet claims that Conte is a big fan of Vlahovic. Indeed, it’s even suggested that Fiorentina chiefs have been in London discussing a potential deal with the Spurs transfer team.
TBR’s View: Dusan Vlahovic is good for Tottenham even if Harry Kane stays
Vlahovic is one of the best young strikers in Europe. Without doubt. It makes perfect sense, then, that Tottenham use the addition of Conte to try and tempt him to the club.
Of course, Daniel Levy might need to dig deep here. The other issue comes around if Harry Kane stays or goes. But either way, Vlahovic would slot in nicely for Spurs under Conte.
Conte wants top players, and his record with strikers is good – see Romelu Lukaku. Vlahovic hit 21 goals last season, and there is a wide ranging opinion around Europe he can be one of the very best around.
Tottenham fans are right to be excited here. The thought of Conte coming in is big enough. The addition of other, new players, is another huge plus.
