Antonio Conte has reached out to those close to Arturo Vidal to learn of his availability ahead of the summer, with El Deportivo reporting that he wants to bring the midfielder to Tottenham Hotspur.

Vidal has featured in Inter Milan’s last nine Serie A games. However, the Chilean has only started one fixture in the top-flight. And with that, it would appear that he could be on the move in the summer.

El Deportivo reports that the 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season. Inter do have the option to extend his terms by a further year. However, he is looking to leave.

And it appears that he could be offered the chance to realise a dream to play in the Premier League. El Deportivo reports that Conte has enquired about his availability.

The Tottenham boss signed Vidal for Juventus and Inter.

The report claims that Galatasaray and Marseille have already made offers for Vidal. However, he now wants to move to England.

Tottenham fans will trust Conte should he decide to sign Vidal this summer

On paper, the signing of Vidal is not an exciting one. He turns 35 in May. Remarkably, he has not made 30 league starts in a single season since the 2011/12 campaign.

He is coming towards the end of his career at the highest level.

Having said that, Tottenham fans trust Conte. So if the Italian wants to sign Vidal for a third time, then they will be prepared to give him a chance.

It would also be a free transfer. So that eliminates a lot of the risk attached to signing the Inter star.

Ronaldo previously described him as an ‘incredible‘ player. Perhaps Conte believes that he has a lot more to offer before his career concludes.
