New Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is keen to overhaul his squad and will look to sell both Steven Bergwijn and Giovani Lo Celso as part of that.
According to AS, Conte will move on the likes of Lo Celso, Bergwijn, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura as he looks to reshape his Tottenham squad. The Italian coach is expected to be give backing in January to bring new players in.
However, players will also need to leave to balance the books and ensure the squad isn’t over-inflated as well. With that, Conte looks set to wield the axe on a number of first-teamers.

Bergwijn only arrived at the club in January 2020. He signed for £27m when Jose Mourinho was in charge. Likewise, Lo Celso was another £27m arrival of the Mourinho era.
Those two, at a combined £54m, coupled with players such as Alli and Lucas, means it could see Tottenham bring in more than £70-80m in transfer fees to aid Conte’s overhaul.
TBR’s View: Conte needs to move certain Tottenham players on
Conte will start to get an immediate impression of who is and who isn’t needed at the club, so it’s little surprise to see these sorts of rumour already.
To be fair, all four of those mentioned have hardly lit the world up in the last 18 months or so. You could argue that Lucas has a place, but the other three have been poor overall.
The next 2 months are a big chance for any Spurs players to prove to Conte that they want to be in the squad. The likes of Bergwijn and Lo Celso will likely be given minutes to prove themselves. Ultimately, it will come down to them to prove they’re good enough.
