Report: Conte wants Paratici to bring £42.5m star to Tottenham 'at all costs'
Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed an incredibly fruitful transfer window so far this summer.
However, it doesn’t look as though Spurs are done yet in making new signings.
Over the past few days, Tottenham have reportedly tested the waters over Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo.
According to Quotidiano Nazionale, Spurs have seen a £30million bid for Zaniolo rejected.
And a few days ago, Tottenham reportedly made a cash-plus-player offer which included Joe Rodon.
Now, CMW have provided an update on the Zaniolo to Spurs state of play.
Apparently, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte wants the 23-year-old at N17 ‘at all costs’.
Juventus reportedly want Zaniolo too, but there is speculation about a potential ‘pact’ between the two clubs.
The Italian outlet suggests Juve could step back and allow Spurs to make their move for the player.
In return, Tottenham would clear the way for Lucas Moura to talk with – and ultimately join – Juve.
CMW previously reported that Roma want €50million (around £42.5million) for Zaniolo.
“Great technical quality”
Tottenham have already enjoyed a superb transfer window, and Zaniolo would be the proverbial cherry on top.
He has just turned 23, but he already has made over 100 competitive appearances for Roma.
Zaniolo also has nine Italy caps to his name, and lifted the Europa Conference League last season.
“He has an incredible natural physique for someone who is only 19 and also has great technical quality,” Daniele De Rossi said in 2019.
“In my opinion, as perhaps with everyone now, he is already a very good player – and can become a great one.”
