TBR’s View – van den Berg can stake claim away from Anfield
A loan move could be really good for van den Berg, who has had a taster of first-team football in the form of two EFL Cup matches for the Reds following his move from PEC Zwolle last year.
There is no way he’s ready to challenge the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for a first-team place yet, but he seems to have enough about him to go play for another team on loan despite his tender years.
With the right move, van den Berg could really take a big step to featuring more regularly for Jurgen Klopp’s first-team.
