Report: Club to raise offer for Locatelli; Arsenal want to close deal with ‘immediate payments’
Juventus will reportedly raise their offer for Arsenal target and Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A giants will offer more money to sign Sassuolo. Locatelli is keen to move to Juventus. However, Arsenal’s bid for the Italy international is seemingly more appealing.
As per the report, the Gunners want to close the deal for Locatelli as soon as possible, with Arsenal also willing to pay ‘immediate payments’ for the 23-year-old playmaker.
Arsenal were the first club to submit an offer for Locatelli as reported by Fabrizio Romano. But according to multiple reports, Juventus is the Sassuolo star’s first choice this summer.
The Gunners are close to moving on both Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi. As reported by Goal, the latter is on the verge of joining Marseille.
As per the report, the midfielder will join on an initial loan deal before making the transfer permanent next summer.
Arsenal are also on the verge of completing their first few signings of the transfer window. Nuno Tavares is close to joining the Gunners, whereas Albert Sambi Lokonga should join the Portuguese fullback as reported by the Guardian.
The Athletic also report that Arsenal remain in negotiations for Ben White, who is also a target for multiple Premier League sides this summer.
