Newcastle United want Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe this summer and he is on their list of transfer targets before the window shuts.
Give Me Sport claim that Pepe is among the players that the Gunners are considering as they look to improve their quality and depth out wide.
They think they can get Pepe out of north London as Eddie Howe looks to add to his frontline, something he has not been able to do so far this summer.
It was reported last month that Mikel Arteta wants rid of Pepe, but the Gunners had thus far struggled to garner any interest in him.

Newcastle want Pepe
That all adds up to mean that a deal looks there to be done during a summer when the Gunners have struggled to shift their unwanted players.
The protracted chase for Raphinha made it clear that Arteta also wants an upgrade out wide and he would happily cash in on Pepe.
It would be a risk for Newcastle to sign Pepe, given how disappointing his spell in England has been so far following his record arrival at Arsenal.
Arteta has said he has ‘phenomenal‘ ability but he just has not shown it enough and looks short on confidence now.

It would be interesting to see how Pepe would get on elsewhere after his Gunners career has effectively come to a standstill.
Arteta has gone in a different direction, with younger players, and Pepe finds Bukayo Saka in the role he wants to play, as a left-footed winger cutting in from the right.
It remains to be seen whether Newcastle firm up their interest in Pepe, and the report gives the impression others are higher up the list but may not be affordable or attainable.
