Report: Club now ready to loan out 'special' player in January, after claims Leeds are hoping to sign him

AC Milan are now ready to loan out Belgium World Cup star Charles de Ketelaere amid interest from Leeds United.

Leeds tried their utmost to sign the forward during the summer transfer window but he rejected them to move to the San Siro.

He has struggled to make an impact at the Italian giants, although he did earn himself a spot in Roberto Martinez’s squad for Qatar.

90Min report that Leeds have an interest in signing the Belgian during the winter window and they failed to sign a senior forward during the summer in the end.

Leeds could get de Ketelaere on loan

Milan know that getting rid of the Belgian could help them get in another player who is at the World Cup but struggling for club form.

Hakim Ziyech is moving closer to joining them from Chelsea, and if de Ketelaere were to leave, that could speed up his arrival.

It seems Leeds have not been put off by the Belgian’s rejection in the summer and would still be willing to take him in the winter.

The forward is an incredibly ‘special‘ talent with a bright future ahead, and someone Leeds clearly did their homework on and like a lot.

They may even get a deal now which is more financially beneficial to them, although of course Milan would still have the player permanently.

That said, if he shone at Elland Road, they may hope to convince Milan to sell de Ketelaere at the end of the season, but there is plenty of work to be done before we get to that stage.
