Report: Club now make £26m Tottenham player their top transfer target after crashing out of Champions League

Juventus want to sign Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur to bolster their options at right wing-back.

Journalist Rudy Galetti wrote that the Brazilian is now Juve’s top target in that role as they look to improve their squad.

They crashed out of the Champions League in the group stage and will play Nantes in a Europa League play-off during the new year.

And Royal is seen as a key part of their improvement process according to the report.

But it also says that he is going to be the subject of a summer swoop, despite the January transfer window being just weeks away.

The report claims Juventus will target getting Alvaro Odriozola on loan from Real Madrid in January until the end of the season.

Then, they will go in for Royal, despite 90Min reporting that Spurs are open to selling Royal during the winter market, if they can get a replacement.

£26 million man Royal has split opinion since he joined Spurs, with Antonio Conte seemingly keen to keep the faith with him.

But many fans would rather see Djed Spence in the side, whom Tottenham signed during the summer but is yet to start a game yet.

The wing-backs are so important to Conte and he has not yet got the optimum balance on the right hand side of his backline.
