A club in Spain are confident that they will sign Nicolas Pepe on loan with Arsenal open to letting him leave, according to a report from 90min.
Gunners fans would be forgiven for being left baffled by how the January transfer window is playing out at the Emirates. They have now offloaded a host of players without bringing anyone in.

And it would appear that further departures could be on the cards. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona. And he may not be the only Arsenal player to end up in La Liga, with Pepe now attracting interest.
90min reports that Arsenal are open to letting Pepe leave on loan. And an unnamed club in Spain is now confident that they will agree a deal for the Gunners’ club-record signing.

Loan exit makes more sense for Pepe than Arsenal
Pepe is a player who would surely appreciate the chance to consider his Arsenal future. He has struggled for game-time at the Emirates this season. In fact, he has not completed 90 minutes in the Premier League since October.
He did shine in the Carabao Cup tie with Sunderland before the turn of the year. Paul Merson labelled his performance that night, ‘outstanding‘. But clearly, that was not enough to really force Mikel Arteta into a rethink.
It would be bizarre if Arsenal sanctioned the move of another player without anyone arriving. But it does appear that Pepe is leaving is possible.
