French club Rennes are doing their best to keep rising star Eduardo Camavinga, amid interest from Arsenal.

According to Le10Sport, Rennes have “pulled out all the stops” with a new contract offer for their highly rated midfielder Camavinga.

It is understood that the Ligue 1 side have submitted a great new contract extension to the 18-year-old with a substantial salary, so they hope that’s enough to keep him.

The report explains that the French teenager is a priority for Arsenal, but they are yet to submit a bid for him. In addition, Paris Saint-Germain are keen on his signature.

Camavinga, 18, is regarded as one of the most exciting emerging talents around Europe.

The central midfielder has remarkably made 82 senior appearances for Rennes at his tender age due to his massive talent.

He’s made a senior international debut for France, too, but is not part of their Euro 2020 squad.

Is Camavinga part of the midfield jigsaw at Arsenal?

For Arsenal, they can take giant strides forward if they tweak a couple of key positions in their XI.

It’s overlooked how strongly their domestic form was over the second half of the last campaign, but they need a stronger collective group to be a success in the long run.

Camavinga is star in the making.

He’s been an ever-present in the Rennes XI during the last two years, so it’s a testament to his maturity.

The midfielder has a physical presence on the pitch. He uses his body well and is neat in possession.
