A report by Eurosport has suggested that William Saliba is facing a fight to save his Arsenal career despite not making his first-team debut yet.
It is thought that Mikel Arteta is willing to allow the centre-back to leave, with sources believing he isn’t yet ready for Premier League football.
Saliba was signed in 2019 and allowed to immediately rejoin Saint-Etienne on loan after the £27 million transfer.

He helped the Ligue 1 outfit to the Coupe de France final during the 2019/20 campaign. As a result, he was expected to make the grade at Arsenal this season.
Saliba has fallen behind Gabriel, Rob Holding and David Luiz in the pecking order, with Kieran Tierney occasionally making up a three-man defence.
With Pablo Mari now also fit and Shkodran Mustafi also at the club, his chances of playing don’t look forthcoming any time soon.
Now, Eurosport are claiming that there is no future for the 19-year-old whilst Arteta remains in charge at the club.
The £40,000-a-week enforcer was a Raul Sanllehi signing but it seems clear that he is a long way off the first-team.
TBR View – Offloading Sailba would be madness
For a young lad, Saliba already has experience of playing in a decent European league and Arsenal should keep him.
A loan move could be the perfect outcome for all parties, with the youngster in desperate need of some regular football.

Saliba’s career will stagnate the longer he is on the fringes at the Emirates Stadium and he needs some football.
Offloading him permanently would be criminal though, with the defender one of the brightest European prospects.
Losing Saliba without handing him a shot could be a disaster from the Arsenal hierarchy – and Arteta.
