Norwich City boss Daniel Farke has admitted he and the club will not stand in the way of Max Aarons if Tottenham Hotspur make a sufficient transfer offer in January.
He told The Telegraph this weekend that he would accept it if Aarons decided he wanted to move on to a ‘bigger club’.
“Sometimes a player develops quicker than a club and you have to accept it if a player wants to have a bigger move and that there are bigger clubs in world football than we are.
“But there is no financial pressure on us – we don’t have to sell any player even if there is an offer of £200million. We don’t need the money to keep the club going.”
The report also commented on Tottenham’s chances of a deal. They claim that talks ‘have already begun’ over a deal for the 19-year-old.

Norwich City boss Farke reportedly already sees summer acquisition Sam Bryam as Aarons’ replacement. He cost £750,000 and Norwich would reportedly want at least 10 times that in any Tottenham deal. Tottenham fans would undoubtedly be over the moon if Tottenham got Aarons for £7.5 million but that seems low.
TBR’s View
This is great news for Tottenham who have long been seen as a potential destination for Norwich’s talented defender.
Spurs have struggled at right-back early this season after the decision to sell Kieran Trippier was followed by a lack of recruitment.
Kyle Walker-Peters appears to not have Mauricio Pochettino’s trust whilst Serge Aurier is painfully inconsistent.
Aarons, who only signed a new five-year deal at Carrow Road in July, would be the perfect option as Tottenham look to rebuild their current squad.
