Tottenham Hotspur hope summer signing Ryan Sessegnon will return to full training before November, according to Football London.

Sessegnon is currently out with a hamstring injury. This kept him out of the action after his summer move from Fulham. The teenager then suffered a setback to his hamstring injury after returning to training.

Football London writer Alasdair Gold provided an update on Sessegnon. He claims that Spurs are hoping to have Sessegnon back training with the first-team within the next fortnight.

Sessegnon joined Tottenham in the summer, agreeing on a deadline day move from Fulham. The 19-year-old had played 120 games for the Cottagers and is considered a promising young talent.

Mauricio Pochettino brought Sessegnon in to provide cover at left-back and on the wing. But so far, he has not managed to play a single game for his new club. Tottenham will be hoping to use Sessegnon at some point in November.

TBR’s view

Spurs must be careful with Sessegnon, who is showing signs of a recurring injury here. There is no need to rush him into the team and risk exacerbating his hamstring injury.

Sessegnon was brought in primarily as cover with a view to breaking into the starting line-up later in the year. With time still on his side, Pochettino needs to slowly introduce Sessegnon into the side.
