Arsenal loanee Daniel Ceballos is wanted by Napoli this summer, according to a report from CalcioMercato.

The Real Madrid star has had a mixed season at The Emirates after arriving on loan from the Bernabeu.

The 23-year-old impressed in his early showings for the Gunners but an injury has disrupted his progress and a return of one goal and two assists in 24 games is hardly groundbreaking.

After initially struggling to get back into the fold under Mikel Arteta, following the sacking of Unai Emery, Ceballos was starting to show signs of progress at Arsenal once again before the football season was postponed due to the global health crisis.

But with uncertainty over his future, Ceballos is now being targeted by other clubs. CalcioMercato is reporting that Napoli are considering an approach for Ceballos in the next transfer window.

Last summer, as reported by AS, Napoli also asked about Ceballos before the Spanish under-21 star ended up at Arsenal.

As reported by The Sun, Real Madrid are believed to value Ceballos at £36 million, with Zinedine Zidane not keen on the Spanish youngster.

Arsenal will need to start thinking soon about whether Ceballos is worth an attempt regarding a permanent move. If not, a queue is starting to form behind them.
