Report claims Marvelous Nakamba is happy at Aston Villa despite recent struggles

Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba wants to stay at Villa Park next season, despite some recent suggestions his future could lie away from the club.

With the exit of Jesus Garcia Pitarch as director of football and a new man at the helm in Johan Lange, there is every chance that some of the former recruitment chief’s signings might find themselves replaced.

Nakamba, who has shown his ability in flashes throughout the 2019-20 campaign, finished the season out of the Aston Villa starting XI and could be one of those fearing the chop.

However, Zimbabwean website Soccer24 claims that the Warriors international has no intention of leaving Aston Villa this summer. He is happy at Aston Villa and is enjoying life in England.

Nakamba joined the club from Club Brugge last summer in a deal reported by Sky Sports to be in the region of £11 million.

Despite some impressive performances, the 26-year-old struggled after the restart and found himself on the bench for the majority of Aston Villa’s successful relegation fight.

But that has seemingly not impacted his time at the club and Nakamba is ready to fight for his first-team spot again next season.
