It appears that one of the options on the table could well be Leeds. The report suggests that Bielsa is keen on being reunited with the 30-year-old.

TBR View: Leeds pursuing Nkoulou comes as a surprise

It is intriguing to see Leeds linked with a centre-back ahead of the summer.

Admittedly, they have had plenty of injury problems in that area of the field this season. Both Diego Llorente and Robin Koch have spent substantial portions of the campaign on the sidelines.

However, when everyone is fit, Leeds have plenty of depth in that position. Neither Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk have looked out of place in the Premier League, and Luke Ayling has filled in when needed.

They also have youngsters such as Olly Casey and Charlie Creswell impressing for the under-23s.

And as it is currently difficult to see any of those names leaving anytime soon, it is tough to see Bielsa wanting to add another player to his ranks.

For that reason, it would surely be a surprise if Leeds became Nkoulou’s next club.
