Report claims Liverpool want Juventus striker Paulo Dybala

A report from Spanish outlet El Gol Digital has claimed that Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus striker Paulo Dybala this summer.

It may well be a busy window at Anfield. The Premier League champions have endured a tough campaign and are facing a fight to get back into the top four.

Injuries have had a huge impact on their campaign. But there have also been some players who have struggled to replicate the incredible form that they had shown over the previous couple of years.

Their forward line has not looked as impressive at times. And with their injury problems arguably highlighting the depth issues they have, it would be no surprise to see Liverpool target a new attacker in the summer.

And according to El Gol Digital, the Reds are keen on Dybala. It is noted that his contract with the Old Lady expires at the end of next season.

The report claims that Juve want at least £60 million for the 27-year-old.

TBR View: Asking price should alarm Liverpool

Dybala is arguably a much better player than his current numbers would suggest. The former Palermo man has just two goals in 11 Serie A appearances this season.

His overall record at Juventus stands at around a goal every two and a half games. And he is versatile, so could potentially bolster Jurgen Klopp’s ranks in several areas.

However, the £60 million asking price is startling given his form this year and his contract situation.

Liverpool may well have Dybala on their radar. But they are surely going to want Juventus to lower their demands should they decide to make a move.
