Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are two of the clubs monitoring Merih Demiral, with Turkish outlet Fanatik reporting that Juventus are open to selling the defender.
The 22-year-old has played a peripheral role for Juve this season. He has made just five Serie A starts for the Old Lady, while he has made a further appearance from the bench.
And it appears that he could now be on the move this month. According to Fanatik, he would like to leave Turin ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
And it seems that a host of clubs have the youngster on their radar. Fanatik claims that Spurs and Liverpool are keen.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that Leicester City, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are monitoring the Turkey international.
Fanatik adds that Juventus want around £45.2 million (€50 million) for Demiral. It is suggested that they have little interest in loaning him out with an option to buy.
TBR View: Demiral a superb talent, but Spurs and Liverpool fans unlikely to get carried away
Demiral looks to be a fantastic defender. And he has an incredibly bright future ahead. However, it seems unlikely that Liverpool or Tottenham fans will be getting carried away about the links.
In truth, it is difficult to see either making a marquee addition in this window. Of course, their willingness to get stuck into the market could change as the month continues.
But as things stand, there seems to be little possibility of either targeting a player who would reportedly cost over £45 million anytime soon.
