Report claims Lille continue to monitor Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos

Rangers fans would probably have to go back a long way to find a window in which Alfredo Morelos was not linked with a move away from Ibrox.

Morelos has been an outstanding performer throughout his time with the Gers. So it is little surprise that he has attracted so much attention.

And it appears that this window is no different.

Morelos may have only scored one goal in his last 10 appearances. But according to The Scotsman, the Colombian is still on Lille’s radar.

The report from The Scotsman notes that the Ligue 1 side saw a £16 million bid for the 24-year-old rejected in the summer.

There have probably been times when Morelos has been tempted by the chance to leave Rangers. But it is really difficult to see the striker pushing for the chance to leave this month.

Steven Gerrard’s side have put themselves in an outstanding position in the Scottish Premiership. And it would take a brave person to bet against Rangers winning the league this term.

With that in mind, Morelos will surely have no interest in going anywhere.

He has come in for criticism from outsiders throughout his time with the Gers. He surely deserves his moment to celebrate – provided Rangers get across the line – before potentially reassessing things in the summer.
