Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reiterated his desire to keep Xherdan Shaqiri at Anfield despite reported interest.
A report in The Mirror explains that he doesn’t want to lose his forward, despite him falling down the pecking order this season.
Calciomercato suggested that Roma and AC Milan had been interested in the 28-year-old.
Shaqiri earns £80,000-a-week (Spotrac) at Anfield but has found first-team football hard to come by this season.

He has started just three games this season, making 10 appearances in total. Shaqiri has a single goal to his name which came in a 5-2 win over Everton in December.
The report claims that Klopp doesn’t want to let the ex-Stoke man leave in case any of his first-team regulars were to pick up injuries.
It is claimed the German has a strong desire to keep him around Anfield and that will be music to Shaqiri’s ears.
Determined
The Switzerland international will know that Liverpool are still fighting for three trophies.
A first Premier League crown looks like a foregone conclusion, whilst the club will hope to retain their Champions League accolade.
The Reds have drawn Shrewsbury in the FA Cup and that might offer a few more games for Shaqiri too.
Versatile forward Shaqiri signed for Liverpool from Stoke in July 2018, costing £13 million (BBC).

A departure might not be out of the question for the summer. Klopp recently added Takumi Minamino to his ranks, further decreasing Shaqiri’s chances of regular football.
The player doesn’t seem like a bad egg but given his age, he might choose to depart come the end of the season.
For now, his short-term future looks like being at Anfield.
