Reports in Italy have suggested that Leeds United’s potential proposal for Fiorentina midfielder Erick Pulgar is considered ‘interesting’ by the club.
That is according to a report from La Nazione. They suggest that Leeds’ proposal for the player, whom they have been linked with for months, is favourable to the Fiorentina management.
It comes amid claims that the Italian side need to trim their squad down and with Oulgar a long-term believed target of Leeds United’s recruitment team.

Leeds were linked with the Chilean midfielder back in September with La Nazione suggesting a transfer fee in the region of £13.75 million.
It was then decided that Pulgar was going to play a key role for Fiorentina this season and any talk of an exit dissipated.
However, the 26-year-old has struggled to hold down a starting spot with La Viola this season and has recently been used more from the bench then the start.
Leeds do need an extra reinforcement in midfield, with Adam Forshaw unlikely to return to action anytime soon, so perhaps Pulgar is a genuine option for the Whites.
Fiorentina would seemingly hope so, as they look to trim their bloated squad.
Leeds might just help them along the way.
